Key Areas of Focus

1. Water Use Efficiency

• Industrial Sector: We introduce methods to minimize water consumption through advanced technologies (e.g., closed-loop water systems, water-efficient machinery) and process optimization. Encouraging the adoption of zero-liquid discharge (ZLD) systems can also significantly reduce wastewater generation.
• Domestic Sector: Advocate for low-water-use appliances (e.g., water-efficient faucets, dishwashers, and washing machines) and smart irrigation systems. Additionally, creating awareness campaigns to reduce daily water wastage can make a large collective impact.

2. Wastewater Treatment and Reuse

• Treatment Technologies: Work towards implementing state-of-the-art technologies like Moving Bed Biological Reactor with Tubesettlers for more effective treatment of wastewater. This would ensure the treated water is of high enough quality for reuse.

• Domestic Reuse Systems: Promote greywater recycling systems for non-potable applications like garden irrigation and toilet flushing.
